GNOMI Is Retiring Standalone Article Consumption

Since the start of this year, readers on GNOMI have manually consumed more than
1.1 million articles, growth of 163x. That number is an accomplishment. And it confirms that we have been permitting them to consume the news in the same fragmented way the rest of the internet does: one article, one publisher, one version of the story at a time.

GNOMI was built to be the intelligence layer between people and real-time information. Our responsibility was never to deliver a single article. It was to analyze the full story, surface the competing narratives, and give every reader the context to understand what is actually happening.

Standalone article consumption on our platform has been working against that responsibility. It has produced engagement. It has not produced understanding.

For that reason, effective today, we are retiring the standalone article-consumption feature. Every story a user opens on GNOMI will be delivered inside its full coverage graph: the competing sources, the opposing framings, the evolving facts, and the analytical layer this platform was built to provide.

The decision will reduce a form of engagement we could have kept measuring and reporting. We are making it anyway. GNOMI exists to help people understand the world. It does not exist to add another feed to their day.
